My experience with Bam Creative has been one of 'ask and you shall receive'. I walked in with a very particular idea about what I wanted, and not only  did they get it straight away, they delivered it all juiced up, within budget and with zero fuss.

I would highly recommend Bam Creative as a quality house with a great team that know how to listen and who ply their trade with great care and professionalism.

How to choose your target keyword and phrases for search engine optimisation.

You're building a website, so you'll want to get as many prospects for your services or products to it as possible.

You should start by the realisation that there are literally hundreds of millions of other websites on the web, and potentially hundreds (or even thousands) of other businesses looking for the same target audience as yourself.

In order to maximise the potential for these prospects to find your website, you need to ensure that your website contains as many of the phrases and keywords that they may search for, in the text content of your website.

The first step here is determining your target 10-20 phrases and keywords to start with. If someone searches on Google for Website Design Perth, and your website contains that phrase, then your website has a far better chance of being displayed in the search results.

So how do you determine which phrases and keywords you should target on your website?

Start by getting in ‘customer mode'. Sure, we may call a product something in our industry, but would a customer know that name? Probably not. Instead of using phrases such as XE21 Widget use Solar Powered Widget.

There is plenty that you can do besides just educated guessing as well. Go through this list and define your target list;

  1. Research competitors. Search a phrase that you've already considered, and have a look at what the highest ranking websites target on their websites
  2. Ask existing customers, friends and family. Ask them, if they were searching on Google for your services or products, what they would search for. They may come up with layman terms you haven't even considered!
  3. Be specific. Don't just use new cars if you only sell to Perth locals. Change your target list to new cars Perth instead - although the former may get more searches, would someone in New York be a real prospect for your business?

Once you've done the research and have a list of a dozen or two target terms, you need to make sure your website reflects these on many different pages. Where possible, use them sparingly, so don't just add website development perth to every single page of your website - search engines are quick to spot ‘spammy' behaviour and could penalise you for doing so.

If possible, use lots of variations throughout your website. For example web design perth and website design perth on different pages can help. The more unique page titles and headlines help as well, so ensure your headings, sub-headings, image captions, etc all feature these phrases when you can.

Use your website statistics package to see where people come from, and what keywords they were searching for. We provide Urchin software, a hosted statistics package from Google, to help you review this information, with all of our website hosting plans.

Use our Search Engine Insight service. This is a monthly report service, showing you your target phrases and keywords, and where you appear on the major search engines for them. See more information about our search engine report service here.
