Miles speaks at Industry conference

Our MD, Miles Burke, ran a successful talk at Australia’s national digital marketing conference, Edge of the Web, on the ethical side of web business. Discussing the pitfalls both from an agency and client perspective, Miles discussed three hot topics in the industry; free pitching (getting asked to design concepts before entering a formal arrangement), offshoring (employing staff or contractors overseas to complete work) and design contests (sites that offer unlimited concepts for a fixed fee, with the money only going to the successful designer).

On the whole, the majority of the audience took the side that these are bad moves for a business to take, and the talk caused great conversations post-event.
