Jean

"All websites should have…”

...a mobile version to ensure that everyone on any device can find what they are looking for and can appreciate their visit. It should be easy to navigate and get all the information you need. These days, almost everyone is using their cell phone all the time, so you must be able to take advantage of every opportunity. It should be built to give the desires to come back and share their experience with others.

What was the last book you read?

To be honest, I don’t really read books that much. But, as most the people these days, I am more a Netflix kind of guy. The last television show that I just finished was The 100. However, it’s based on the Alloy books by Kass Morgan. In this series, we are following a group of 100 juvenile prisoners who are sent back to Earth to see if it’s viable once again. It happens 97 years after a nuclear war destroyed Earth and forced every survivors to flee to space stations. I find it really interesting to see how the young survivors are reacting in that kind of situation and how there is always a person who is trying to take advantage of the situation. Let’s hope those kind of adventures stay in our books and television for a long time yet.

If you didn’t work in the web, what do you imagine you would be doing?

Before I finished high school I was thinking of becoming a teacher like my mother. But, I quickly realized that wasn’t for me when I simply think about the fact that I will have to stay in school for the rest of my life. I was feeling that university will be enough. So I decided to concentrate on my communication skills and switch for a degree in business administration.

A fact most people wouldn’t know about Jean?

Most people didn’t realize at first sight that I am part robot. During high school, I had a quite important operation. I had a scoliosis. My spine had a curve of 63 degrees. Unfortunately, the first operation wasn’t a success so I had to get operated again one year later. I now have two iron bars and twelve screws in my spine. But these events gave me the chance to realise that everything is possible when you put in the effort and listen to every piece of advice you can get. There is nothing in life that can stop you when you have the right people around you. After only one year, everything was almost back to normal, I was back on the ice to play hockey and have the chance to live a normal life.
