Tertiary Access Group

Tertiary Access Group (TAG) is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to creating an awesome student experience.

Understanding that tertiary students across Australia are deeply focused on their education, TAG has created a way to provide well-priced goods and services from a variety of vendors. In turn, TAG offers an excellent business opportunity to vendors, looking to supply students with their wares.

With a new direction and a bright future, TAG's objective was to create a digital hub to speak to both students and vendors, new and old. Our long-term relationship opened the door to another exciting and collaborative project with TAG.

Using their vibrant colours, we created a design that is an expression of freedom and the exploration of a new landscape, representative of the period in one's life after they leave high school.

A suite of solutions for each audience

The structure of TAG is quite a complex one, and so it required different areas of news for different sectors and different audiences; the students and the members.

Carrying the homepage design throughout the site, the news page allows for different sector news articles to display on a single page, allowing for any audience to connect with the news that is most applicable to them.

The visual nature of the website lends itself perfectly to this layout, as there are always plenty of images to choose from to best illustrate a news article or even a sector page.

A sector page allows for news and events, only to do with that particular sector so its audience can go directly to the section that applies to them.

Once logged in, the members area works in much the same way as the news page, showcasing news and events that only members can view.

Explore and engage

The homepage of TAG is an area where anyone, no matter the audience, can easily find what they're looking for. A potentially overwhelming task, considering the amount of content to display and keeping the user experience in mind - what's a creative agency to do?

With our content ready to go, we set about grouping it into areas we felt would appeal to all audiences and creating a hierarchy that would keep the user engaged as they scrolled down the screen. To complement this journey, we designed elements that would encourage the user to engage and explore, expanding information as they went through.

The TAG App

TAG previously engaged us to create an app to be made available on both Apple and Android, so that users could easily keep up to date with deals from TAG vendors.

The free app also allows for members to check out the latest news on various sectors, no matter where they are.

“Bam Creative were a great fit for our website design. Knowledgeable enough to guide us, firm enough to tell us what really could or couldn't be done within time frames and cost, flexible enough to adapt to constantly changing brief, and creative enough to not only bring to life our ideas, but more importantly, enhance them.”
