- Client: Danish Patisserie
- Website: N/A
- Launched: July 2012
Danish Patisserie is an established Perth bakery that provided various fine flavoured goods to many cafes, supermarkets and even other bakeries behind the scenes without a brand presence. However, the company was looking to expand their reach and create a new face; to make a new image that could be sold directly to consumers with a new name, logo and overall identity that people could associate with the quality Danish Patisserie goods.
The Bam Creative team envisioned completing this project in multiple phases, starting with a new name and logo. We sat down with Danish Patisserie staff and brainstormed ideas, names, colours and associated emotions that added towards the new brand. Through investigation of available business names, domain names, similar named identities, international translations and various other considerations, we recommended the name ‘Oscars Bakehouse.’
The next stage of the project was to create the logo and select a colour palette that would complement the values and emotions behind the ‘Oscars Bakehouse’ name. The clients presented some ideas to our team and together we developed a strong logo that fulfilled the need for both graphic and typographic elements. The cursive typeface denotes an air of refinement and calibre, the red banner reflects the prestige of the red carpet while the golden circular seal conveys a sense of authenticity as an official stamp of quality.
The logo was then prepared for an immediate roll out for their storefront signage, business cards, letterheads, and more. In order to maintain the integrity of the new ‘Oscar Bakehouse’ logo in its various applications, we compiled the many design variations and constraints into a comprehensive style guide for both digital and print usage.
The next phase of the ‘Oscars Bakehouse’ brand journey will continue with a new website to be developed soon!
